Representatives of the WHO (World Health Organization) determined the optimal age for children to master the potty at 2-2.5 years. Such norms are due to the fact that two-year-old children are already ready to regulate urination, and are also able to inform their parents when they want to relieve themselves of a small or large need. Also, a well-known pediatrician of Ukraine, who may soon occupy the chair of the Minister of Health of our country, Yevgen Olegovich Komarovskyi, recommends postponing the acquaintance with a potty or a children's toilet seat until the summer. Why is it better to remove diapers from active babies in the warm season? Let's try to understand this issue together: • The first reason lies in the fact that the child can be undressed in late spring or summer without the risk of hypothermia. Cotton panties instead of diapers and a loose T-shirt - this is the uniform of the future owners of the pot. At home, the mother will not have to take off tights, pants and other warm clothes to put the child on the toilet. To begin with, you can leave the diaper only at night and for long walks, so that all family members are comfortable. By the way, an important indicator of the baby's readiness for the potty is a dry night diaper. Pay attention to this moment. Secondly, in the summer it is easier to calculate the approximate intervals between urination of the baby. If you try to learn the potty mode in the cold season, you may encounter more frequent calls to the toilet due to hypothermia. The third aspect is convenience for the mother. Mistakes of children who played and did not ask for a potty quickly dry out and dry in the summer sun, without long waits. And when the child copes with the task of writing and pooping where it should at home, you can move on to short walks around the house without a diaper. Many mothers are complex that closer to the age of three, their children still do not regularly go to the potty. This should not be done, because all babies are different. Someone will master this matter immediately in two years in a couple of weeks, and someone will understand the principle before four. If you have decided to train your child to go to the potty and do wet things like an adult, without a diaper, then first take care of a sufficient number of children's panties made of natural fabrics. Not always everything will go smoothly, without puddles, without refusals to sit down where needed. Do not despair and be nervous - pediatricians offer a scheme of 1 week in two. This means that after seven days of unsuccessful potty training, the child should be left alone for at least 10-14 days. Perhaps a little later, progress will be faster. Everything will definitely work out, dry pants!
